Daniel Better is a composer and sound designer based in Austin Texas. He studied at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies. He has formal education in film scoring, audio production, and video game sound implementation. Better has played piano since age 8 and viola since age 11.

Better's music reflects his education in technical audio production as well as his orchestral experience, combining synthesis and sound design with classical instrumentation. He approaches his scoring from a deeply emotional and textural point of view to emphasize underlying character development and changes in mood.
